The Department of Physics provides 4-Year Honours & 3-Year Multidisciplinary Studies designed to offer students a comprehensive understanding of fundamental and advanced physics concepts. The department is staffed by qualified faculty members dedicated to delivering quality education and fostering a research-oriented environment. The department began its journey in 1986, offering a Pass Course in Physics as part of the undergraduate curriculum. This course aimed to provide foundational knowledge in physics to students from diverse backgrounds. In 2002, the department expanded its academic offerings by introducing an Honours course in Physics. This program was designed to delve deeper into the subject, equipping students with a robust understanding of theoretical and experimental physics, preparing them for higher studies and careers in science and technology.
